Charmaine is a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance at the eRYT500 level.

She studied Ashtanga and Power Yoga with Robert Boustany, Forrest Yoga with Ana Forrest, and Prenatal Yoga with Jacci Reynolds. She teaches all level classes from gentle to hot and sweaty!

The Forrest Yoga teacher training program is designed to deliver a solid foundation in the art of teaching Forrest Yoga, and is focused on intense personal and professional growth, promoting powerful insights that provide deeper integration with one’s true self. It does all that and more.

The pillars of Forrest Yoga are Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit. It helps you connect to your core – getting strong and centered. It uses heat, deep breathing and vigorous sequences to sweat out toxins. The long holds in the pose progressions help you flush, oxygenate and rejuvenate every cell.

As a beginner, you learn to breathe deeply and connect in feeling with your body. As you progress, you get proficient at safely tailoring each pose to work best for you; particularly with physical and emotional injuries.

Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires that you bring a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly. If you want to learn more click here.

Trauma-Informed Yoga

Charmaine studied yoga under Ana Forrest, a trauma survivor, and creator of Forrest Yoga which she designed specifically for healing the people. Charmaine completed a trauma-sensitive yoga training with David Emerson of the Justice Resource Institute in Massachusetts, and yoga to manage anxiety and depression with Amy Weintraub of Life Force Yoga.
