The Power of Strength training on Fitness

Charmaine’s journey showcases the transformative effects of strength training. She transitioned from primarily running and cycling to incorporating weightlifting into her training when a bone density scan revealed Osteopenia during menopause. Realizing that running alone wasn’t enough for bone health, she embraced weight lifting and plyometrics.

This decision improved her bone density and ignited her passion for weightlifting, functional fitness, and mobility. It also led her to become a Certified Personal Trainer, helping others maintain strength and fitness, especially aging athletes.

Charmaine emphasizes the importance of maintaining mobility for improved movement and functionality, particularly for aging individuals. She encourages them to take control of their health by focusing on proactive steps. Charmaine’s approach includes personalized mobility exercises and stretches to keep joints and muscles flexible and functional.

Her story is a powerful example of how adapting fitness routines to address health needs can lead to profound life changes.
