This ongoing 6-class series meets once a week on Tuesdays, starting on August 1, 2017
Classes are led by Charmaine Van Niekerk, Yoga Teacher ERYT, Ayurvedic Health Practitioner, AHP. Charmaine studied yoga with Ana Forrest, trauma survivor; Trauma-sensitive Yoga with David Emerson; and Yoga to Manage Anxiety and Depression with Amy Weintraub.
Who can benefit from this course?
People suffering from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, low self-esteem, chronic pain, addictions, and anyone wanting to regain their sense of Self. You can learn more about trauma-informed yoga by clicking to this page.
We offer classes in a safe, small group setting. We respect your personal space, boundaries, and confidentiality. No hands-on adjustments and no pressure.
Yoga for managing Stress, Anxiety and Depression
Using yoga movement, breathing, and awareness, to learn how to:
*Free yourself from past hurts, guilt and shame
*Change habitual negative thought patterns
*Regulate difficult emotions
*Make positive choices
*Reconnect with your body
*Be present in the moment
Classes are held weekly on Tuesdays. TENTATIVE: 3:15 – 4:15 pm and/or 6:15 – 7:15 pm, pick the time that you can commit to for six weeks.
Entries close one week before the event start date. Group size is limited to 6 persons.
